Workshops:

1) Twin Star - how to teach people in organisations to enjoy their work and cooperate beautifully together.

The Twin Star is a simple solution-focused model for teaching managers and staff the key ingredients of how to create happy workplaces. The eight point star model has been developed by psychiatrist Ben Furman and social psychologist Tapani Ahola and is derived from many years of experience in reteaming coaching. The Twin Star comprises two stars, a blue and a yellow one. The points of the blue star indicate the four positive factors (the vitamins) needed for people to experience enthusiasm, energy, and enjoyment of work. The points of the yellow star indicate the four most common challenges (the pitfalls), that threaten the working environment if not dealt with in a constructive manner. In this workshop you will learn the twin star model and learn to understand the importance of the eight points indicated by the star. You will also become able to facilitate your clients to learn the ideas of the model with the help of exercises. During the workshop you will participate in, and learn the instructions of, a wide variety of exercises that you can put to use with your clients right after the conference. The workshop will not only be illuminating but also fun at the same time. It is recommended that you read The Twin Star Book in advance. Furman and Ahola "Twin Star – Lösungen vom anderen Stern", Carl Auer Verlag.

2) KidsSkills (“Ich schaff’s”) - How to help children to solve their proplems and mobilize support from the environment.

Solution-Oriented Therapy with Kids 4-12. Nothing can increase a family's feelings of hopelessness and anxiety like having a kid in therapy, and no wonder. Too often, the focus is exclusively on the child's problem or symptom — misbehavior, school fear, learning disorder, depression, anxiety — which can lead to a pervasive climate of mutual blame, and discouragement for both child and parents. But if the problem can be translated into a skill the child can and needs to learn, attitudes almost miraculously change. In this workshop you will learn a step-by-step solution-focused intervention to help parents and children identify and name the skill the child needs to master. You'll learn how to develop a “training plan” for helping the child learn the skill, enlist the parents as sources of cooperation and inspiration, and even involve chosen friends or classmates in the project. You'll discover how to engage and motivate the child and parents, emphasize positive consequences rather than punishments, deal positively with potential setbacks, and make the entire therapy process enjoyable for everybody.

Vortrag:

1) Reteaming – a key to motivation

Reteaming is a simple and popular framework for coaching, managing change, and solving problems designed by Ben Furman and Tapani Ahola in the 90’s. Reteaming is a step-by-step procedure for assisting individuals, teams and even entire organizations to solve problems and to accomplish desired changes. The method is based on solution-focused psychology. Reteaming offers an answer to the perennial question of motivation, to what it is that makes people tick, get them going and to go all the way.
